We’re back! These are the dips in the season that you hate but learn to love. Everyone gets rusty. They’ve been losing their ass in the lottery ticket that is NFL DFS and will come crawling back to futbol. Again, we aren’t seeing the huge paydays that we saw early in the season for first place finishes. That will lead me over to the “Classic” style more than I’d like. Let’s go!
A lot to like here. Let’s go Tier by Tier and rank these fuckers.
No Aguero today. I think you have to have some Jesus. He, Sane and Sterling make for a flying front 3. In games where those 3 youngsters play I tend to avoid KDB. Do so at your own risk but that is my play. I don’t want many shares of Morata. He’s completely goal dependent and I need to see more from Chelsea before I’m begging for shares of 1 or 2 goals. I like Coutinho but Salah has been about as consistent as you can be. Let’s rank em.
Tier 1: Salah, Jesus, Coutinho, KDB, Morata
I love 3 players in this tier. Mane, Sterling and Sane. Lukaku is in a goal drought. Firmino is leading the line but I’d rather have shares of Mane. Sterling and Sane simply produce when they play together. This year it seems as if Sane is more of the provider so I’m leaning to Sterling. Hazard is an OK play but doesn’t move the needle a ton for me. Let’s rank em.
Tier 2: Sterling, Mane, Sane, Lukaku, Firmino, Hazard
No Sturridge, Milner, Batshuayi, Stanislas or Pedro. We won’t know United’s team news until later. There are options to pivot to so I don’t mind playing them. Silva is always in the play but again, he has so much in front of him that I can’t see him going off. Wilf is leading the line so you can play him. Let’s rank em.
Tier 3: Rashford/Martial (whichever starts), Silva, Zaha, Mkhitaryan
The easy play is Mooy. Just take your points and move on. He and Sigurdsson are good for 8-15 points each time out. No Rooney for Everton so expect Gilfy to take the lead on set pieces. Don’t let the Q next to Josh King fool you. He’s starting and is fully in play. Huddersfield are notoriously tough at the back so I don’t know if I’m going there. Brady is playing in the midfield and will whip some crosses in. Does he pick up an assist? That’s about the only way he leads the tier in points. Let’s rank em
Tier 4: Sigurdsson, Brady, Mooy, King, Fabregas
Alexander-Arnold is the play. You can play Mahrez or Ritchie but I’m going with Trent. Vardy is a GPP flier. Moreno is an OK play. Let’s rank em
Tier 5: TAA, Ritchie, Mahrez, Vardy, Abraham
I think people will filter too Pope an Lossl, which are good plays. I wouldn’t mind owning a share or two of Pickford. I think Everton can keep the clean sheet and find the net themselves. He may not make a ton of saves but the win and clean sheet bonus will keep you in any tournament. Let’s rank em.
Tier 6: Pope, Lossl, Pickford, Mignolet
