Well kids, we murdered it last week. Took down the GPP and went over 14X on our entry fees. 3 in the top 10. 4 in the top 15. OWNED! The key? Aguero at 8% owned and going ham. Enter multiple lineups! (if you can afford it)
Between the last 2 weeks we are set for the season. I’m not going to start playing over my skis because I’m killing these levels. DFS is fickle. Adjust accordingly. This weeks slate..
EVERYONE will attack Man City v the hapless Crystal Palace. Leicester and Liverpool just played on Tuesday and run it back. Swansea has been stingy so the usual goal-fest Watford games may not happen. Are Chelsea back? Yeah. Bournemouth have been unusually bad this season.
Things to consider…EFL Cup means midweek games. I’ll say it hear but keep it in mind for each tier. EVERYONE is going to attack this City v CP game. Palace are trash and if you think bringing in a 70 year old dinosaur is going to turn things around feel free. Hit me up on DK for a head to head @ nikofrasher. Both De Bruyne and Aguero were rested for the midweek game. Expect both to start. Give me the goals over the assists but I can’t argue with either play. Aguero is 1, 2 and 3….then everyone else. So how do we differentiate? Lukaku. Coutinho played 45 midweek. Leicester give up goals but they are starting to turn things around. Hazard played 90 on Wednesday. On the road…ehh. I think you play the Machester boys and I’d rank them like this.
NO HAZARD. CITY ARE GOING ALLL OUT ATTACK. NO CHANGE TO ORDER.
TIER 1: Aguero, Lukaku, De Bruyne
Are Everton back? Well, no but Bournemouth have been BAD. Sigurdsson still seems to be finding his way with his new team. EVERYTHING ran through him in Swansea which led to great DFS day. Now? Not so much. Jesus played the full 90 against West Brom. I actually really like Morata in this spot. Stoke have given up 2 goals to their opponents in each of the last 3 games, including 2 at home to United. Morata is fresh after skipping the game midweek. Expect 90 minutes and a goal. Mkhitaryan is going to start. He hasn’t played well yet continues to find his way into the league lead for assists. Here’s the kicker with this United and Southampton game. Sou haven’t played ANYONE. They also can’t score goals. United on the road still seem to attack and basically had a walk through on Wednesday. Miki is in play. This Leicester v Liverpool game is interesting. They literally just played on Tuesday. They return for a double dip and while it was ALL Liverpool in the first half, Leicester walked away with the win. Liverpool are in a bad way and I doubt it turns around on the road. Let’s rank em…
NO JESUS. CALLED IT. SALAH DOESN’T HAVE A REPLACEMENT IF HE DOESN’T START….JUST A HEADS UP
TIER 2: Morata, Mkhitaryan, Salah, Sigurdsson,
Jesus (don’t think he starts)
A little shorter. A little faster. Sterling played the full 90. Probably doesn’t start. If he does, love it. Rashford scored 2 on Wednesday. Does Mou reward him with another start? If so, he shifts back out left. Keep that in mind. Rooney has been decent. Firmino ain’t great. Batshuayi scored a hat trick during the week but has struggled mightily against EPL talent. David Silva was rested for a reason. I think he and KDB provides the assists for Aguero. He’s your star. Willian is going to get 90 and could either assist or get on the end of one himself. Mooy is solid but not spectacular. Let’s rank em.
STERLING STARTS?? CAN’T IMAGINE HE GETS THE FULL 90 AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR LATE GOALS IN THAT GAME. LIKE SANE BETTER.
TIER 3: Silva, Willian, Rashford, PEDRO STARTS
Let’s focus on who you can play and why…if he starts, you can absolutely play Martial and probably should. He’s been on fire this season and if his finishing form was a touch better would be literally unstoppable. If Sane is rewarded for his midweek romp he’s in play. 2 goals gets you some leeway. Mendy is absolutely in play. He has little to worry about defensively and will get forward often. Fabregas is an OK play but if we are looking to win GPPs then we need goalscorers. FROM THE CLOUDS…Mirallas hasn’t quite earned Koeman’s trust yet, which is weird because he’s a hell of a player. He wasn’t even in the team during midweek. Is he being saved for 90 on the weekend or has he fallen that far down the pecking order? If he starts, and you REALLY want to differentiate yourself, go with Mirallas at 2% owned. Shaqiri won me about $1,000 last week so HELLO LOVE! He’s averaged just over 16 points the last 6 games he’s started and finished. This is a tough match up v Chelsea but you bet your ass I’ll have some share. Last word, Fuck Daniel Sturridge. That is all. Let’s rank em, assuming each of these players START.
NO SANDRO…. NO MIRALLAS… NO FABREGAS… NO MARTIAL…. MAY ADD A SHARE OF BRADY.
TIER 4: Sane,
Martial, Shaqiri, Mendy, Fabregas, Mirallas
There really isn’t much to like in this tier. Poor Gundogan. Another injury. Quality player but unlucky. Who do we like here? The Leicester v Liverpool total is 3 for a reason. We need some exposure. I like Vardy to fill this gap. You also have the benefit of the afternoon hammer. HUGE NOTE!!! There is no replacement if Vardy is more hurt than I’ve heard. Solanke won’t start and may not play. Do not be left with a 0 for this tier. Chris Wood is another spot to differentiate yourselves. It should be a low scoring affair but Wood is most likely to bag one there. I’ll have a share or two. Mata seems to pop up with a goal in games like this against Southampton. If he does, it will be on a rebound inside the six. They all count for 10 points… What happened to Bony? Big man was a beast last time he was in a Swans shirt. If he starts he’s worth a look. Ricarlison burst onto the scene but has cooled off. Clement has the Swans organized so don’t expect the usual goalfest from a Watford game. Let’s rank em.
TIER 5: Vardy (IF HEALTHY!!), BONY, Mata, Wood, Swansea Forward, Alonso
Half these keepers won’t start. Weird structure this week for T6. What is in the water at Burnley?? They keep churning out quality keeper after quality keeper. I love Nick Pope and him picking up the clean sheet and the win is a real possibility. Numbah One Selection. What are the odds we see a 2-0 win for Leicester again? 5%? Could be worth a flier. Will Fabianski get a win at home? The win will be the decider here. Let’s rank em. Honestly…i think we are Pope or bust
TIER 6: Pope, Fabianski, Mignolet??
